When it comes to big luxury saloons performing on the race track, Maserati is probably one of the best automakers. And it's no surprise. as the Italians are tuning their chassis at the Nurburgring.
The Modena-based company took the 2013 Quattroporte on the famed circuit for chassis and suspension tuning, and decided to share a part of the process, explaining at the same time the importance of their Nurburgring tests.
"There are many reasons, technical, strategic, emotional and historic, why Maserati spends a lot of time at the Nurburgring. Now we are here to test the new Quattroporte in the extreme conditions the Nurburgring circuit is able to offer," said Vincent Biard, Maserati's Vehicle Validation Manager.

In other news, Maserati plans to increase the Quattroporte's production to 50,000 units a year by 2015. The new saloon was unveiled at this year's Detroit Motor Show.
