Well, not really, since the internet has gotten its fair share of this care late last year, as it made its domestic market South Korean debut. But, now the all-important US and North American market had their chance to see the refreshed and rebred 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, since it has bowed officially at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.
The 2013MY isn’t all about its new, more muscular but elegant face, as there are plenty of changes going on under the bonnet, as you might already now. The base four-cylinder engine has received a significant boost in output thanks to a twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler boosting output to 274 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque, but only if you run it one premium fuel.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-range 3.8-liter V6 also has the benefit of direct injection, so it’s capable of delivering 42 hp more for a total of 348 hp at 6,400 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque.
