Some have called it the ugly duckling of the Hyundai range, and that’s fair enough since new lines were forced onto it by means of a facelift, but the RWD coupe hase made huge strides.
For the moment, we can only tell you about two engine options that are available in the Korean market. The most powerful is a 3.8-liter V6, which now benefits from Hyundai’s GDI tech. It now produces 350 horsepower and is capable of pushing the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.9 seconds. The other engine is a 2.0-liter Turbo with 275 hp that gets better milage and pushes the 1525 km Genesis Coupe to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds.
On the cosmetics front, you’ve got redesigned lamps front and back and a hexagonal grille that hides a black bumper strip in the middle. The photos from Korea also show hood scoops and LED daytime running lights. Inside, the center and lower consoles have been redesigned. Between the air conditioning and radio, you have three sporty gauges.
