The facelifted, but also much improved, Hyundai Genesis Coupe has already made its debut last year in its domestic South Korean market, so you can exactly call it an unknown. However, the US-spec model is making its official debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show later today.
To get the public a bit more interested, Hyundai USA has posted this teaser video on its Youtube channel. It’s more of a “here’s something you might like” rather then a “here’s something you’ve never seen before” kind of video.
The 2013 Genesis Coupe will once again come with a four-cyinder and a V6 engine, just like the previous model. However, the output has been dramatically increased thanks to the use of gasoline direct injection technology. The base 2.-T has an impressive 271 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.8-liter V6 now offers 345 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque as a US model.
