Even though BMW released their highly anticipated i3 earlier this year, back in July, the car was still to make a proper debut at an Auto Show and the 2013 IAA was the perfect place to do so.
The car was unveiled in Frankfurt yesterday by the German company at their 11,000 sq meters stand. As usual, the press was all over the car and we had to get some good shots of it too.

The i3 will mark a new era in BMW's history, being the first completely electric vehicle built and sold by the Munich-based manufacturer. Due to its batteries and 170 HP electric engine, the i3 has a range of up to 100 miles (160 km), depending on how you drive it.

You can also add a Range Extender feature in case you need more distance between recharging periods, a 650cc 2-cylinder scooter engine that adds another 100 km (62 miles) to the range of the car, working as a generator.
