Ford Racing has decided to slap a sticker onto the 2013 Ford Focus ST-R Racer. If you want to race your own front wheel drive turbocharged track car, you’ll have to fork over a staggering $98,995 for the car that meets the requirements of the Grand-AM ST class.
Based on the upcoming Focus ST street car, the car is also compatible with the World Challenge’s TC Class, Canadian Touring Car and will even be able to race in the Nurburgring 24 Hours. Unfortunately, we can’t tell the output of the car, but it could be anywhere between 250 and 300 hp.

“This teamwork has resulted in a global racing platform using a common Focus body and a safety cage built to FIA regulations – a competitive platform that can be tailored for regional competition, based on different rules,” said Jost Capito, director of Global Performance Vehicles and Motorsport Business Development.”

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
