A bit earlier, we told you that the pricing for the 2013 Camaro ZL1 and 1LE Coupe was officially announced over the weekend, with Camaro chief engineer, Al Oppenheiser, using an event held in Michigan on Sunday to introduce this.
We’ve already covered the crazy ZL1, so it is now time to see how much the 1LE will hurt your bank account. The 1LE uses the Camaro SS as a starting point, offering a more focused driving experience and borrowing multiple parts from the ZL1 range-topper.
The Camaro 1LE tops the SS’ game by introducing goodies like lighter wheels with better tires, suspension tweaking and beefier brakes and it can be yours for $37,035, with this including a $900 destination charge.
We have to tell you that it’s Blue Oval competitor, the Mustang Boss 302, is offered for $42,995 and also comes with an even more hardcore version, the Boss 302 Laguna Seca, which retails for $49,990 (both prices include a $750 destination charge).
Not only is the 1LE cheaper than the Boss 302, but Oppenheiser also said that he expects the car to be able to fight the Laguna Seca, not just the standard Boss 302.
