As we reported earlier, MotorTrend is holding its usual Best Driver's Car contest this year and the M6 is one of the contenders to the coveted prize. In this regard, the guys will be testing the cars listed on their website to see which one is best.
The first test is, of course, a lap around the Laguna Seca circuit. Pro driver, Randy Pobst is the on in charge with getting the most out of the cars and he's got a little something to say about each one, including the M6.
As you're driving this car, you're expecting it to be a bit slow because of its big weight. Not at all. The V8 under the bonnet delivers a good punch and the 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) are definitely put to good use by the 7-speed DCT gearbox.
The end result? A 1:40.52 lap time that isn't bad at all, and stands right there, at the top, next to cars that pretend to be supercars.
