The Bug’s 2.0-liter TFSI unit, which produces 200 hp and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque when it leaves the factory, has received an ECU remap and now allows the driver to play with 240 hp and a peak torque of 310 Nm (229 lb-ft).

On the road, this is translated to a 0.6 second reduction for the 0 to 62 mph sprint time (the vehicle now needs 6.9 seconds for the job), as well as in a top speed that has been increased from 138 mph (223 km/h) to 143 mph (230 km/h).

JE Design also added a lowering suspension that brings the car 35 mm closer to the road, a set of multi-spoke lightweight alloy wheels that come in 19-inch size and allow customers to choose between four finishes, as well as a rear diffuser that houses a quadruple exhaust layout with 90 mm tailpipes linked to a custom rear silencer.
