In the words of Fatlace Motorsports, who have modified a Scion FR-S for the SEMA show, in Las Vegas, “the FR-S is a platform that we couldn’t pass up, and it’s a more than capable car in stock form” - after having thoroughly tested its sister car, the Toyota GT-86, we can confirm this.
However, it is actually a very good place to start, if you want to create a really sporty car, as it already has the basic ingredients straight from the factory - front-mounted boxer engine with a very low center of gravity, an excellent chassis and very nimble handling. What Fatlace have done is given it a Tra Kyoto Rocket Bunny bodykit, to give it a meaner stance, as well as new LED headlights, by Lightwerks, as well as some nice racy decals to finish off the look.

The two liter engine hasn’t been left untouched, and it gets a Vortech Supercharger, and to keep up with the extra need for cooling, a Koyo radiator - a Cusco Power Brace is also added for good measure. As can be seen from the picture, the suspension is very low, and fully-adjustable, featuring KW V3 Coilovers.
