2012 Polaris Snowmobiles Revealed

An old East European saying goes a bit like “a wise man buys a sleigh in the summer and a wagon in the winter,” and that couldn't be more true in these dire economic times. With winter almost over, Polaris announced today that those planning ahead, for the coming snowy months, as well as those planning to have some fun on the year-round white peaks of the world can do so in the new line of snowmobiles wearing their logo.

In all, nine snowmobiles, all built on the PRO-RIDE chassis, will be launched in the coming months, covering six market segments. The snowmobiles will come with customization options, covering performance, comfort, convenience and graphics.

“We expect our new lineup of snowmobiles to build on our recent, strong performances across all market segments and continue to grow our company as a global powersports leader,” said Bennett Morgan, Polaris Industries president.

"Polaris continues to deliver on our promise to develop products with industry leading performance, quality, functionality, style and value."

The range of snowmobiles covers any desire of the riders, starting with the 600 Switchback Adventure crossover and ending with the Trail performance Rush models. All are powered by Cleanfire engines, in either 600 or 800 configurations.

"With a strong focus on new technology, top engineering and quality, we have some of the most outstanding products available today and season-to-date the top four selling snowmobiles in the market are all Polaris," said Scott Swenson, Polaris Industries vice president.
