The new 2012 Nissan GT-R model went on sale in its home market on November 17, 2010, in six different variants, including the ultra-exclusive EGOIST model. The new GT-R EGOIST has now started arriving at dealerships in Europe, which gave us the occasion to learn more about it and feast our eyes with a fresh photo gallery from the Japanese automaker.

Nissan brags that each customer can choose a combination of interior colors among 20 choices. In addition, the Bose sound system is exclusively tuned according to the driving position of each driver to meet every customer’s needs.

We’ll hold on to the BOSE sound system a bit to tell you that it comes with specially developed carbon composite-based woofers, which can cancel vibrations through their high rigidity and damping.

Interior highlights of the EGOIST also include the choice of four upper area interior colors and 10 lower area interior colors. As for the seats, these come in an exclusive quilted design with single and double stitching combined in a reticular pattern, while providing enhanced body grip performance (suitable for racing circuit driving).

Finally, the Wajima Maki-e is used for the GT-R emblem at the center of the steering wheel. Nissan says the coloring of the Maki-e changes as time goes by.

Highlights include a dry carbon rear spoiler, providing stable aerodynamic performance, even when driving at more than 300km/h (186 mph). The car sits on lightweight and rigid forged aluminum-alloy wheels, with the newly developed five-layer Blue Sword Chrome Color Coating adopted. In addition, the EGOIST uses a Titanium exhaust system. All these three elements are also used in the SpecV.
