2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Klasse Gets Its Own iPad App

If you don’t have an app, you basically don’t exist. This is the concept that seems to be guiding today's world, and automakers make no exception to that unwritten marketing rule. The latest company to use that tool to promote their executive-size sedan is the North American division of Mercedes-Benz (MBUSA).

Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the launch of an iPad App designed exclusively for the 2012 CLS-Klasse. This, in fact, is the first of a series of MY ’12 product apps.

The new CLS-Klasse iPad App has been created as a tool for dealership sales associates, but it can easily be obtained through the Apple App Store by consumers as well.

Through logical placement and smart navigation, the app provides a smart, user-friendly experience that includes virtual tours of the interior and exterior of the vehicle, as well as an “Explore” section that allows users to customize the CLS. The app also offers a wide selection of videos that demonstrate the groundbreaking technical innovations of Mercedes-Benz.

Additional apps for MY ’12 vehicles will launch throughout 2011 to coincide with the retail release dates.

“Designed to help Mercedes-Benz Sales Consultants introduce customers to the world of Mercedes-Benz and its products, this application includes a wealth of information. The CLS Application brings the 2012 CLS-Klasse to life by allowing you to take a virtual tour of the vehicle, view custom options and watch a wide selection of videos that demonstrate the ground breaking technical innovations of Mercedes-Benz,” the description on iTunes reads.

The app can be found by searching “Mercedes-Benz 2012 CLS” or can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store at the following link.
