2012 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost Now Priced at $44,300

In a bid to boost sales a little, before Lincoln becomes less Ford-ish, the company has just dropped the price of the 2012 MKT EcoBoost to the same level as the price as the 3.7-liter all-wheel-drive MKT from 2011. This means customers will get to enjoy some 65 extra horses for the same price of $44,300.

The MKT EcoBoost is motivated by a 3.5-liter V6 with 335 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and generating 350 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 through 5,250 rpm.

"You judge a luxury car by how it feels. You judge a luxury car by how it looks and the experience of actually driving it," said Kate Pearce, Lincoln Consumer Marketing Manager. "You'll feel the difference the moment you get into a Lincoln, especially with the confidence-inspiring EcoBoost engine."

MKT buyers can choose between six- and seven-passenger models with two different second-row seating configurations. The standard 60/40 split folding rear bench seat features heated outboard seating positions.

Lincoln MKT earned a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for 2010 and 2011. The car features standard electronic stability control through AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) as well as an advanced structural safety cell.

Standard features include SYNC voice control, plus an audio system comes with a CD/DVD/MP3 player with 10 speakers, SIRIUS XM Radio with a six-month subscription and audio input jack. An available dual headrest Family Entertainment System with twin seven-inch DVD playback screens offers individual or simultaneous programming to second-row passengers.

The 2012 Lincoln MKT is built at the Oakville Assembly Complex in Ontario, Canada, and will go on sale at North American dealers in late summer.
