Honda announced the starting prices of its 2012 Civic model that’ll be available on the market later this month.

According to LeftLane News, the new Civic will have a starting price of $15,605 (EUR10,770) due to a $750 (EUR520) destination charge when the new model will be on the market. Compared to the old Civic, there aren’t many changes regarding the price, but the 2012 model features more interior space as well as an improved chassis that now is more responsive. Fuel economy was upgraded too and now there’s even a possibility of a new natural gas model to be available worldwide.

For $15,805 (EUR10,900) you’ll receive a base Civic DX coupe with a five-speed manual transmission and no radio or air conditioning. The Civic LX sedan will cost from $17,855 (EUR12,300), while the Civic HF sedan has a starting price of $19,455 (EUR13,400) and features the five-speed automatic transmission as standard. The Civic EX-L sedan with navigation and XM Satellite Radio is set to start from $23,455 (EUR16,200).

For sport orientated enthusiasts the Civic Si sedan is priced at $22,405 (EUR15,440), while the Civic Si with two doors costs $22,205 (EUR15,300).

Eco friendly customers can choose the $24,050 (EUR16,570) four-door only Civic Hybrid sedan. If you want leather trim, navigation and XM Satellite Radio on your Civic Hybrid sedan, you’ll have to pull out $26,750 (EUR18,430).

The 2012 Honda Civic HF, Sedan, Coupe and Natural Gas models feature a 1.8-liter i-VTEC engine capable of producing 140 hp. The transmission is a five-speed automatic that allows the Coupe and Sedan versions to reach an mpg level of 39 miles (6.0 L/100 km) on the highway, while the Natural Gas model manages an 42 mpg figure (5.6 L/100 km).

The 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe and Sedan benefit from a 2.4-liter i-VTEC engine that develops 200 hp and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque. Transmission is a new six-speed manual transmission and fuel efficiency is 31 mpg (7,6 L/100 km) on the highway.

The 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid should manage to gain some miles regarding fuel efficiency. The model has a combined 44 mpg (5.3 L/100 km) rating thanks to the new 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine and to the lithium-ion batteries. The engine’s output is 110 hp and the transmission is a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

At this point, the Japanese manufacturer is yet to announce a price for the natural gas-fueled model that will debut on the market later this year.
