2012 Honda Civic Concept to Debut at NAIAS

Europe is the land of the hatches and everybody knows this. And the European carmakers are making all the possible efforts to stay on top of their game, offering vehicles that come with more and more assets. However, one of the hatches that has always had a special place on the market comes from Japan. We are talking about the Honda Civic, a vehicle that can send some of its Euro-breed contenders crying to their mommies. And it seems that the Japanese car likes playing this aggression game. Just look at this sketch! This offers us an idea of how the next generation of the vehicle will look like. Yes, we've said Europe many times in this article, but Honda has chosen to introduce the future concept version of the 2012 Civic at the upcoming North American International Auto Show. "The styling direction of the next-generation Honda Civic will debut at the 2011 North American International Auto Show in January, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., announced today," stated the press release. Judging by this image, the next Civic is exactly what we expected from Honda and we're already thinking about a test drive of the vehicle. The car will hit the market in spring next year so our intentions are not such a far stretch. "The company released a sketch of the Civic Concept that conveys the sleek and aerodynamic profile of the show vehicle. The production version of the ninth-generation 2012 Civic based on the revealed concept will go on-sale in spring 2011. John Mendel, American Honda executive vice president of sales, will introduce the concept vehicle at a press conference, which will also be broadcast live via webcast on www.hondanews.com/live2011naias," stated the press release. Our say: We've decided to neglect everything else and ask Honda for two things:1) use an independent rear suspension 2) give us a naturally aspirated Type R. autoevolution will be attending the 2011 North American International Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
