Hmm... a single-seater with Ecoboost and Powershift written all over it - is Ford erasing the line between the road and the track? Yes, and we're glad it's so. In fact, the Blue Oval has been running the Formula Ford for fourty-four years now and the introduction of the new Racer is one most important steps in this direction in the last few years.
Basically, we are talking about a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that delivers 158 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, being mated to a six-speed sequencial gearbox. We also get a small taste of the carmaker's new Kinetic design, but only as much as such a car can offer.

We have to mention that the Formula Ford is a proving ground for both drivers and engineers, with many of those who took part in in moving on to top-tier motorsport series, suh as Formula One or the World Rally Championship

The fresh2 Formula Ford race car is scheduled to make its debut at the 2012 Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship in the UK, but the car will be used in multiple series - Ford seems to have developped an obsession for glaobal products.
