Ford is one of the companies that has moved a part of its headquarters in the social media location and now it is time for a new virtual move for a real product. As you know, the Blue Oval is working full throttle to develop the ST version of the new Focus.
Ford's hot hatch is currently in the testing phase, so wouldn't you like to be able to get a few sneak peaks inside its development process?
If the answer is "yes", all you have to do is head over to Facebook, where the carmaker has decided to offer fans video updates from the ST's creation. We are now treated with the first video, which shows Jost Capito, Ford's director of global performance vehicles and motorsport activities, putting the ST through its paces at Ford's Rommel test facility.
"Our Facebook page allows us to reach out to enthusiasts around the world for the first time and share with them the final stages of development of the new Focus ST as it happens," the executive explained. "This is Ford's first truly global performance vehicle, and social media gives us a rare opportunity to show enthusiasts how this car is progressing, gives insight into its technologies and builds excitement in this community as we finalize Focus ST's technical specifications."
Before the Focus ST goes on sale, fans will also be able to immerse themselves into ST experiences involving the Nurburgring, Spain's hot weather, as well as US driving.
