General Motors is, annoyingly, placing higher priority on customers elsewhere. We’ve already heard many complaints about them outsourcing jobs and not bringing the TrailBlazer to the US as soon as expected.
Originally, not even the new Chevrolet Colorado pickup, built and developed in Thailand, was deemed to be US bound. But GM has reconsidered, and is going to introduce it to North American customers.

But by the sound of things, it’s nowhere near ready, as GM Inside News reports this new model will only arrive in 2014 as a 2014 model year... or later.

The truck might have the usual body-on-frame construction, but it’s never been tested on US roads. It’s powered by a 2.8-liter diesel engine and the equipment level will have to be changed for the US. In addition, GM’s Wentzville, Missouri plant will have to be overhauled for the new Colorado Pickup to be made there.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
