2011 Nissan Versa Pricing Announced

Nissan has announced the U.S. pricing pricing for the 2011 model year Nissan Versa Sedan and Versa Hatchback, which have already been introduced on the market.The Versa Sedan had maintained its starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $9,900 for the entry level Base version equipped with the 1.6 liter gasoline-powered engine.

The list of Versa enhancements for 2011 include the addition of an in-dash 6 disc CD player for the Sedan 1.8 S and the introduction of anti-lock braking system for the Versa Sedan 1.6 (excepting the 1.6 Base model).

The Versa 1.8 SL models are also offered with a low-cost Navigation/Satellite Package that features a 5 inch LCD touch screen monitor, XM Satellite Radio.

The Versa’s list of optional equipment includes Nissan Navigation System, Nissan Intelligent Key, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and XM Satellite Radio.

With a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of just $9,990 USD - unchanged from 2009 - the Versa Sedan 1.6 Base retains its position as one of the lowest priced new cars available in the United States market. he front-wheel drive Nissan Versa continues to provide excellent fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance or roominess. Versa features one of the highest standard horsepower/torque ratings and largest interiors in the entry-level segment,” stated the press release.

The Versa’s engine range includes a 1.6 liter engine that develops 107 hp and a 1.8 liter unit, which offers 122 hp. The car’s fuel economy is rated at 26 mpg city/ 34 mpg highway for the Sedan version equipped with the 1.6 liter powerplant matted to the five speed manual gearbox and at 28 mpg city/34 mpg highway for the hatchback model using the 1.8 unit with the CVT transmission.
