2011 Nissan 370Z Ready for Oz

Just in time to have a taste of the sunny days ahead, Japanese automaker Nissan announced the launch of the 2011 370Z model, in both the Coupe and Roadster versions, on the Australian market. And the even better news is that the new models are only slightly more expensive, AU$650 for the Coupe and AU$800 for the Roadster.

The price hike doesn't even come close to the upgrades brought to the model, says an overconfident Japanese car maker. The new versions of the model indeed come with several enhancements, but most of them relate to comfort and infotainment, leaving those who look for a bit more juice in their new Z with the hope that perhaps the next generation of the model will bring some changes.

The model currently arriving at Australian dealerships is equipped with a new-generation audio and navigation system, a touch screen, full iPod connectivity and functionality via USB input, Bluetooth audio connectivity and the ability to upload phone contacts via Bluetooth, all backed by the 9.3GB music HDD server.

New to the range of the 370Z are the new reversing camera and the wide-angle mirrors, as well as a cargo blind to the 370Z Coupe. New climate controlled seats can be used to send warm or cool air through perforations in the seatbacks and squab cushions, making the Roadster version a suitable choice even in not so cabrio-friendly wheather.

According to Nissan, all of the above mentioned upgrades come as a thank you for the Australian buyers who, according to the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, have made the 370Z the most popular sports car in the country.
