2011 MV Agusta Brutale 920 Priced at Under GBP10,000 in the UK

The current entry-level model in the Brutale range has started reaching UK shores, the British division of MV Agusta announced today, with a price tag of GBP9,999 on the road. The first Brutale 920 units arrived on Monday ahead of a further batch of machines finished in Matt Black. These bikes will be allocated to the MV Agusta UK dealer network for demonstration rides.

According to MV Agusta, these will be followed in a few short weeks by the first batch of customer machines, finished in Matt White, the majority of which are already sold.

The 920 features a new, inline four-cylinder engine producing no less than 127 hp at 10500 rpm, with a claimed 70 ft-lb. of torque at 8100rpm with two switchable engine modes: ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’.

Suspension is Marzocchi inverted forks with full adjustment available and a Sachs shock at the rear, adjustable for preload and rebound.

“By the end of this week we will have our own Brutale 920 on our press fleet ready for demo to the motorcycle press. 2011 is a very exciting and important year for MV Agusta in the UK, with a series of launches aimed at broadening the range – including the F3 hypersports middleweight. The Brutale 920 is an ‘entry-level’ MV Agusta and is therefore very keenly priced and we hope it will bring new interest and new riders to the MV Agusta name,”
Steve Oliver of UK importers MotoGP said in a statement for the press.

The Brutale 920 joins the 990R and 1090RR, but recent reports have indicated that a 675cc version dubbed B3 is also in the works and it is likely to see daylight at EICMA this November.
