2011 Mustang GT Offered in Ford Sweepstakes

Ford has prepared a special reward for all its U.S. racing fans: the carmaker’s customer service division has launched the “Mustang 5.0 fever” Sweepstakes, offering enthusiasts and customers the chance to win a 2011 Ford Mustang GT.

The company stresses the fact that the competition does not require any payment: fans just need to go to the track and register. They can even enter on-line, via Ford’s parts website. The contest has already begun and entries are accepted until November 23. The lucky fan, who will drive-off in the Mustang GT, will be randomly selected - the draw will be held in December.

The prize winner will get a Mustang GT powered by the new 5.0 liter V8 unit that develops 412 HP, 390 lb-ft of torque and returns a highway fuel consumption figure of 25 mpg.
The ‘Mustang 5.0 fever” also offers additional prizes: a Ford enthusiast will receive a bonus prize each time one of the carmaker’s Funny Cars takes a win in the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. Prizes, valued at $75 each, include autographed merchandise, apparel packages and others. The bonus prize winners will be randomly selected from all sweepstakes entries received to date.

"We have had great interaction with consumers these past two years at our Motorcraft/Quick Lane Racing Experience display in NHRA's Nitro Alley," said Brett Wheatley, Director of Marketing, Ford Customer Service Division. "We value our relationship with our fans both on and off the track and we encourage everyone to experience the latest products and services Ford has to offer. In appreciation for their loyalty, we're offering our fans some great prizes and one lucky fan will win a 2011 Mustang GT."
