2011 Kawasaki Ultra 300X Jet Ski Launched

After launching the new 2011 Ninja ZX-10R superbike, Japanese manufacturer Kawasaki unveiled another powerful machine for adrenaline junkies. Not a two-wheeler this time, but one that can cut through the waves and cause a stir among jet ski enthusiasts: the 2011 Kawasaki Ultra 300X.

Presented by Kawasaki as the most powerful jet ski ever built, the Ultra 300X packs a 300 horsepower 1,498cc inline-four DOHC engine, while its deep-V hull provides for both stability and cornering performance.

The Ultra 300X jet ski has been completely redesigned for 2011. It comes with an all-new supercharger and Kawasaki's Electronic Throttle Valve system. Thanks to this system, the 300X jet ski offers a range of riding modes such as: the Smart Learning Operation mode, which accommodates newer riders and allows them to become familiar with the 300X jet ski at a more relaxed pace.

This is achieved through separate keys that dictate power to the ECU. The jet ski's revised ergonomics improve comfort considerable over the 260X model. The handlebar remains five-way adjustable to accommodate a range of riders and riding styles, while its grips are situated almost an inch wider to accommodate all-new handlebar switch assemblies.

New instrumentation includes the new riding modes, as well as external water and air temperature, clock, time, trip and hour meters, tachometer (in digital or graph displays), speedometer and max speed functions.

Key features include:
  • 300 horsepower for remarkable performance(
  • Strong, light, deep-V hull offers both stability and great cornering performance(
