2011 BusaBeats MC Battle Kicks Off, Custom Hayabusa Offered As Prize

A campaign to spotlight the diverse lifestyle and culture connected to the Suzuki Hayabusa and bridge it with consumers, the BusaBeats MC Battle is ready for this year’s challenge.

The BusaBeats MC Battle invites amateur MCs from around the country to add personalized lyrics about the Hayabusa to beat tracks created by celebrity record producers, and compete against each other using social media to collect points and win prizes.

Users record their rhymes in real time right on the website, upload their tracks to the site for community review, and compete for a chance to win a customized BusaBeats Hayabusa.

Suzuki partnered with Michael Jordan Motorsports to unveil this year's customized Grand Prize Hayabusa to a large audience at the 2011 BusaBeats MC Battle kickoff event in Monterey, California. The original winner of the MC Battle also attended the event, alongside riders Ben Bostrom and Roger Lee Hayden.

“At a customer appreciation event held yesterday at the Blue Fin in Monterey, Calif. during the 2011 Red Bull Grand Prix MotoGP weekend, Suzuki celebrated the beginning of the 2011 BusaBeats MC Battle with TV/radio personality Big Tigger and original BusaBeats winner J.PIGG, who laid down the tracks and entertained the crowds,” a company statement reads.

First launched in 2008, the BusaBeats worldwide marketing campaign is centered around the fastest production motorcycle in the world, the Suzuki Hayabusa.
