2010 Mustang Does the Hocus-Pocus in Las Vegas

Las Vegas magician Steve Wyrick was helped by World champion drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. in completing the tenth (and last) experience of Ford Mustang’s ’10 Unleashed campaign. As it can be seen in the Spellbinder video, Gittin, Wyrick and the 2010 Mustang teamed up to perform one of the biggest illusions to hit the Las Vegas Strip.

“My grandfather’s prize possession in life was a 1970 Mustang Mach 1, one of the sickest cars you could imagine,” said Wyrick. “Knowing of my grandfather’s love for the Mustang, I wanted to incorporate the 2010 Mustang into one of my acts and unleash my Mustang side by performing one of my biggest illusions yet on the Las Vegas Strip.”

Wyrick has been performing in Las Vegas since 1997 and is currently the resident headliner at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, in a theater that bears his name. It is actually in front of Planet Hollywood that the last chapter of the 10 Unleashed campaign was performed. Wyrick’s current show features a full size AS350 helicopter, a Pure Steel motorcycle and a 12-ton Lear Jet 35.

“Our goal was to make the final ’10 Unleashed experience something truly unforgettable,” said Steve Ling, N.A. car marketing manager, Ford Motor Company. “To have Vaughn race down the Las Vegas Strip in Spellbinder after kicking off the campaign by drifting the Mustang around Japan was a perfect ending to a great campaign.”

So for the last chapter of the 10 Unleashed campaign the modern-day Houdini put up a disappearing act that astonished the audience. You can watch the video below:
