Lexus rolled out a new Sport Package for the 2010 LS that comes with several enhancements in both the interior and the exterior. Unfortunately, no pricing details are available at this point but expect to pay several thousands of dollars to get all the available features.
According to cars.com, the top-of-the-range rear-wheel drive model will be offered with an upgraded suspension, 19-inch wheels and a redesigned body kit that makes the car look a bit sportier - it is also available separately in the Appearance Package.
The 2010 Lexus LS comes with upgraded exterior styling, including reshaped grille and redesigned headlights and taillights. Interiors have been customized as well, with a pedestrian avoidance system now offered as optional. A driver warning system that monitors the driver's eyes for signs of tiredness will be available as an option as well.
The Lexus LS sedans will be also equipped with Toyota's all-wheel drive system that comprises a highly compact center TORSEN Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) that distributes drive torque between the front and rear wheels.
According to a press release by Toyota, "in normal driving conditions, the front and rear torque distribution ratio is set at a rear-bias 40:60, but it can instantly and optimally vary between 30:70 and 50:50 depending on driving conditions, thus helping to ensure excellent traction performance and driving stability."
The AWD versions are equipped as standard with 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, a wood and leather-trimmed heated steering wheel and power rear sunshade for added luxury.
