2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan Prices Unveiled

The 2010 Ford Fusion, a model that has always been praised for the low fuel consumption it provides, will be priced between $19,995 for the cheapest variant and $27,995 for the hybrid. 2010 Mercury Milan starts at $21,905 while Milan Hybrid will be sold for $31,300, including delivery and destination taxes (D&D), the American automaker added in a press statement.

To be more specific, the front-wheel drive Fusion S, equipped with a 2.5-liter L4 engine will be sold for $19,995. including $725 for D&D. The SE trims costs $20,545 while the SEL version has a base price of $23,975. Both SE and SEL variant also feature an optional 3.0-liter V6 engine delivering more power than the standard 2.5-liter unit.

The sporty Fusion boasting a 3.5-liter V6 unit with maximum power rated at 263 hp costs $25,825 in FWD flavor and $27,675 in AWD.

"We've priced Fusion to beat the competition as it does in every area that matters most to customers," said Chantel Lenard, Ford group marketing manager, Global Small and Medium Cars. "This vehicle does more than compete; it aggressively positions Ford to take back its share of the mid-size car segment and sets the tone for the upcoming Taurus and Fiesta launches."

As mentioned, Ford Fusions has always been praised for fuel efficiency, offering "best-in-class economy of 34 mpg highway for new 2.5-liter engine," as the American automaker stated. Moreover, the hybrid brings even improved performances at its delivers a fuel economy of 41 mpg in city cycle and 36 mpg in highway mode. This means it is 8 mpg better than Toyota Camry Hybrid when comparing the city figures, Ford said in a statement.
