2010 Coach Cal Edition Roush Mustang Previewed

When the passion for cars exceeds all other aspects of your life, you don't necessarily have to be a certified car manufacturer to turn your dream a reality. This is even more true when your name is Paul Miller Ford and you have strong ties with both Ford and Roush.

This will allow you, as you will see, to take an otherwise great Roush 427R and turn it into the 2010 Coach Cal Mustang.

The special edition, announced today by Paul Miller Ford, boasts only visual enhancements, but they are enough to make the Mustang look amazing. By adding a new front fascia and front splitter, a rear fascia, side splitters and custom blue and black suede seating accents, Paul Miller turned the 435 horsepower machine into the Black Beauty.

Painted in jet black with University of Kentucky True Blue stripes, the Mustang hides under the hood Ford's 4.6l engine boosted with the help of the Roushcharger supercharger system.

As a fine touch, a "C" for Coach Cal is featured to the rear of the vehicle (inspired by the "I" featured on the Lee Iacocca edition Mustang). The Coach Cal autograph on the car completes the exclusive feel of the Mustang.

"The inspiration for the outer appearance and the color scheme came from a Bill Keightley jersey that was given to me last year," J.P Miller, General manager for Paul Miller Ford says. "It just seemed to be the perfect fit for this project."

Sadly, only five copies of the Coach Cal Edition will see daylight, with the sixth to be owned by John Calipari (Coach Cal) himself. According to kentucky.com, the car will be priced at a bit over $71,000, with a Mustang GT based version to retail for less than $40,000.
