2009 Rolls-Royce Phantom Detailed

Aligning production with the market demand and adapting the features a specific model provide to the exact options of the customers is one of the main marketing tasks nowadays when people are no less interested in buying new cars. That's why Rolls-Royce today rolled out details of the 2009 Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase, two revised models that are now incorporating a bunch of new features to meet market demand.

“Building on a successful sales year in 2008, the phased introduction of a number of subtle model year enhancements will reinforce Phantom’s position as the pinnacle product of the super luxury segment,” Rolls Royce said in a statement for the press.

First of all, the revised models feature a restyled front bumper integrated with a slightly reshaped grille, finished in stainless steel, as the company itself said in the statement. In addition, the two models now feature LED door handle illumination plus 21-inch aluminum wheels installed as standard. There are two wheel variants available as standard, “both manufactured in forged alloy and available in either painted or part polished finishes”.

Interiors have been upgraded with RCA inputs for enhanced connectivity to the 12-inch displays. Moreover, Rolls-Royce installed all-new front and rear door cappings and double reading lights in the C-pillar for better illumination. Other highlights include rear climate control, volume control and electric window buttons, all of them now mounted on a special panel in the door.

Production is expected to start at Goodwood in the spring, Rolls-Royce added in the statement. No pricing details are available at this point but new details are expected to be released close to the start of production.
