1988 BMW Dealership Frozen in Time Reveals Untouched Beemers

When it comes to BMW, all enthusiasts will agree that older models have a stronger Bavarian spirit. But no other BMW has a stronger spirit than the ones sitting in an abandoned original 1988 dealership located in Ajax, Ontario. And when we are talking about BMW spirit it can be felt at full intensity inside the dealership, given the fact that the cars inside were left untouched and look like they were frozen in time.

The story behind the mummified dealership goes back to 1988, when the dealer located on Royal Windsor Drive which has been operating under the name of “Citation Motors” had its license revoked for unknown reasons. After the unfortunate event they moved to Toronto under the name “Downtown Motors”, which in 2002 closed up. The shop was owned by a wealthy German businessman who seem to have no interest in selling the place or the cars inside, everything inside was left untouched.

Inside the showroom, a BMW E28-Series and a BMW 635 CSI-Series were left behind. The cars were conserved in time inside the showroom and look to be in mint condition, at least on the outside. It is that the passing of time corroded the inside mechanical parts of the engine, suspension and the list could go on . At the back of the showroom there are other models which are sitting in that exact position they did back in 1988, as reported by endrasbmw.com.

But back to present days, still the owner of the mysterious dealership is not to be found though many have claimed to actually know him none of the stories seem to match up. The dealership could be made profitable these days if turned into a museum for BMW gear-heads.
