A 1970 Plymouth Barracuda that has already been saved once (literally) is now hoping to get saved again after becoming a victim of Hurricane Ian.
Listed online by eBay seller trgolf55555, this Barracuda was found sitting in a private collection. However, the owner's home and car collection were flooded out by Hurricane Ian, and if you're a connoisseur, you can probably figure out where this is going.

The car comes with bad news under the hood, as otherwise, it looks pretty good for a car that became a hurricane victim.

The owner says the engine was filled with water, so they tried to drain it and see if it at least gets the mill to turn over by hand. The engine didn't show any sign of life, so at first glance, it looks like whoever buys the car must bring their own muscle.

It wouldn't be the first time the Barracuda gets a new engine, as the car rolled off the assembly lines with a 318 under the hood. The owner didn't like the small block, so they upgraded the Barracuda to a 340, still in the car today. The 340 is currently in a coma, and based on the seller's details, it won't take long before it's removed from the engine bay to make room for a working sibling.

The Barracuda also received other big changes. Plymouth painted it in Plum Crazy, but the highly desirable finish was replaced with the yellow paint in the photos. The car looks good, and aside from a few occasional spots, it doesn't seem like it requires major body repairs.

The interior also looks impressive, and I believe the Barracuda has previously been completely restored before being parked in the private collection. It would also explain the new paint and the yellow finish, though I can't understand why someone would give up on the gorgeous Plum Crazy in the first place.

The owner emphasizes that the Barracuda is a major project, as every little part needs cleaning following the hurricane. The flood has wrecked the mechanical side, so bringing this Barracuda back to the road will be a massive challenge.

However, it doesn't seem like too many people are scared by the job, as the car already receives lots of love on eBay. 28 people have entered the race to buy the car so far, with the top offer reaching $15,200 at the time of writing. The auction comes without a reserve, meaning whoever sends the top bid wins the car. The Barracuda is waiting for the new owner in Luts, Florida, and you'll need a trailer to take it home, considering the flooded engine. The auction will end in approximately three days.
