The National Highway Traffic Safety Association has concluded that at least 1.92 million cars under the Ford and Mercury badge could suffer from the same problem faced by the 2005 and 2006 model year Ford Taurus - a stuck throttle caused by a cruise control cable coming detached.
The official NHTSA investigation will thus check for potential build flaws with 2001-2005MY Taurus and Mercury Sable as well, and this could potentially become Ford’s single biggest recall.

“The agency is actively investigating a potential issue with a stuck throttle resulting from cruise control cable detachment involving certain Ford vehicles”, commented NHTSA spokeswoman Lynda Tran. "The agency is carefully evaluating all available data and will share any findings upon conclusion of its investigation.”

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
