It’s really a shame to see beautiful classic cars turned into piles of scrap due to one second of distraction. It’s even worse when it happens to you and the car you worked on relentlessly since you got it.
That’s what seems to have happened in the video below, where we can see a (previously) mint BMW 2002 flipped on its roof by a 17-year old driver that probably was a bit overenthusiastic about the car he was driving.
According to the video description, the car was restored by the driver and his father, which makes it even worse. We tend to believe the story as the kid can be heard at the beginning moaning and saying ‘I can’t believe it!’, just like a true enthusiast would.
We really don’t know what caused the accident but, judging by the road and the car’s position, we can assume that he lost traction going downhill at considerable speed, countersteered too much and too sudden when the car started oversteering and ended up on its roof.
