Out of the 10 BMW M235i Racing cars that started the VLN Endurance Race Saturday on the Nurburgring, only 7 managed to cross the line. 2 of the ones that didn’t make it ended up totaled in what looked like peculiar accidents.
We’re saying peculiar because both Bimmers were involved in crashes with Porsches. The first one took the M235i over the guardrail, the driver ending up in the hospital with an injured arm and shoulder while the other incident was less violent and left both drivers unscathed and seriously shook.

We managed to get two videos of the aftermath of the crashes but unfortunately we didn’t get any kind of footage of the accidents happening, to see who was to fault.

Fortunately, the two cars belonged to different teams, one was part of the Medilikke Motorsport team and one was from Bonk Motorsport. Hopefully, we’ll get to see them both back racing again in no time.

However, it’s sad to see such beautiful cars crashed and totaled, even if it’s all part of the job. The M235i Racing is BMW’s newest privateer racing car priced at €59,500 (excluding VAT). As soon as we get any additional info, we’ll keep you posted about both the drivers and the teams.
