The IMZ-URAL was founded by the Soviet Government back in 1941. One year earlier, in 1940, the Soviet Union bought the design and production technique for BMW R71 machines and sidecars, while the first M-72 model was released in 1941.

81 years later, in 2022, the Russian manufacturer launched the URAL Geo Limited Edition, a motorcycle with a sidecar attached to it, based on the GearUp version. The bike packed additional features that enhanced its already excellent off-road capabilities and a unique hand-painted camo livery.

Over the years, URAL has released several special edition versions inspired by the International Space Station, a drone carrier, James Bond, and nuclear icebreakers. Each special edition machine was made using an existing model with additional options and features, special paint schemes, and built-in limited numbers.

The 2022 URAL Geo Limited Edition got its power from a two-cylinder air-cooled boxer engine with electronic fuel injection in charge, boasting 41 hp with a peak at 5,500 rpm and 57 Nm (42 lb-ft) torque at 4,300 rpm.

In the appearance department, the Geo Limited Edition machine packed standard features, such as a round headlight, a windscreen, a high-mounted front fender, a sidecar with two smaller headlights, three wire-spoke wheels, and a spare wheel mounted on the rear side of the sidecar, and a two-wheel drive system.

The old-looking machine was fitted with top-end brakes, comprising a 295 mm floating NG disc with a four-piston Brembo caliper on the front wheel and a 256 mm fixed NG disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

The 2022 Ural Geo Limited Edition was for sale in 2023 (at the time of writing) at an MSRP of $26,999.
