In 1995, the British motorcycle manufacturer launched the Triumph Speed Triple 900, a motorcycle part of the Speed Triple series. The bike debuted in 1994 and was the first Streetfighter manufactured by Triumph.

The bike's engine was available in two displacements: a 750cc engine made for several European markets and an 885cc unit for all other markets. The Speed Triple was initially fitted with an 885cc unit, but before 1997, when significant modifications were made to the bike, several 750cc machines were made using leftover Euro specifications engines.

In the suspension department, the bike packed a 43 mm adjustable Kayaba telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, delivering excellent suspension performance and handling.

The braking power was achieved by two 310 mm discs with four-piston calipers mounted on the front wheel and a 255 mm disc mounted on the rear wheel, providing excellent stopping power.

In the performance department, the 1995 Triumph Speed Triple 900 had installed underneath its fuel tank an 885cc four-stroke liquid-cooled three-cylinder engine managed by three Mikuni carburetors, boasting 98 hp with maximum strength at 9,000 rpm and 80 Nm (59 lb-ft) torque at 6,750 rpm.

The bike's power was handled by a five-speed manual transmission linked to the rear wheel through a final chain drive, pushing the motorcycle to a top speed of 217 kph (135 mph).
