TRIUMPH Legent TT (1998-2001) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Triumph Legend TT was a standard motorcycle made by the British company from 1998 to 2001. The bike was based on the three-cylinder liquid-cooled Triumph Thunderbird 900 and was intended to be an affordable machine.

On that note, the designers reduced the cost by making a stripped-down hotrod-styled version with minimal chrome elements. In addition, the bike packed features, such as a satin black powder-coated engine, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, megaphone silencers, and 17-inch spoke wheels.

The 1994 Triumph Legend TT was available in Obsidian Black, Cardinal Red, and Imperial Green liveries and packed standard features, such as a round headlight, a one-piece dual seat, a three-into-two exhaust system, and lightweight wire-spoke wheels.

Underneath its teardrop-shaped fuel tank, the 1998 Triumph Legend TT had installed an 885cc four-stroke three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine managed by three carburetors, delivering 69 hp at 8,000 rpm and 72 Nm (53 lb-ft) torque at 4,800 rpm.

In addition, the machine was available with a wide range of Triumph Accessories, including an integrated alarm system, a summer windscreen, a leather pannier kit, soft panniers, chrome covers, a center stand, adjustable levers, and much more.

The bike packed a 43 mm telescopic fork, a 320 mm disc with a dual-piston caliper on the front, and an adjustable shock absorber with a 285 mm disc with a two-piston caliper on the rear, offering excellent suspension performance and stopping power.
