In 2023, the British motorcycle manufacturer completely remade the Tiger 1200 lineup, including the Tiger 1200, 1200 Pro, and 1200 GT Explorer, which remained as awesome as ever.
Both road-focused Tiger 1200 and 1200 Pro machines came with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear aluminum wheels, an adjustable seat, and an adjustable windscreen. In addition, the GT Pro model packed as standard features heated grips, cruise control, hill control, adaptive cornering lights, and several riding modes.
All three models were powered by the same 1,160cc four-stroke liquid-cooled inline three-cylinder engine with a Multipoint Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection system with electronic throttle control, boasting 150 hp with a peak force at 9,000 rpm and 130 Nm (96 lb-ft) torque with maximum strength at 7,000 rpm.
The bike's chassis comprised a tubular steel frame with forged aluminum outriggers and a bolt-on aluminum subframe. On the front, it was fitted with a 49 mm Showa USD fork with semi-active damping and 200 mm wheel travel. At the same time, the rear was handled by a Showa shock absorber with semi-active damping and automatic electronic preload adjustment, offering 200 mm wheel travel.
Two 320 mm floating discs with Brembo M4.30 Tylema monoblock calipers on the front wheel and a single-piston caliper with a 282 mm disc on the rear wheel achieved the braking power.
The 2023 Triumph 1200 GT was delivered in a Snowdonia White color scheme and sold with an MSRP starting at $19,595. The bike was available in Canada at an MSRP starting at $22,795 CAD.
