Even though most of the middleweight sport bikes are powered by in-line engines, this is not exactly a rule of thumb, and if you want to explore more possibilities, the 2009 MY Suzuki SV650S is one of them. You get the best of both worlds, with a nimble character which loves to grind pegs against the asphalt and is exceedingly happy to flip between turns, combined with the classic grunt of the v-twins and superior long-range comfort.
Sleek and good-looking, the SV650S also brings better weather protection thanks to its windscreen and fairly generous fairing. Even more, the SV650S can also be a decent touring bike if you add a third-party luggage system.
