Those who like the idea behind the Suzuki DR-Z400S but would rather go for a bike tailored for asphalt riding have a much better option than simply fitting all-street tires on it. Suzuki offers the same bike platform in a street trim, in the shape of the DR-Z400SM. The inverted forks of the DR-Z400SM are probably the first difference between the two. With less unsprung weight, the DR-Z400SM has improved maneuverability, while new engine covers help to further reduce the mass.
RK Excel rims are now shod with grippy radial tires, while the braking system is more aggressive and tailored for street performance. Together with the adjustable Showa suspensions, all the features make the DR-Z400SM the ideal urban slicer for those who love the supermotard looks and feel.
