The 2008 MY DR-Z400S is the classic middleweight dual-sport bike, a machine which mixes together off-road worthiness and solid streetability in a package which has an answer for pretty much any scenario. Compliant suspensions can make any ride comfy, even when riding two-up and with luggage, and adjustability makes it even better. The liquid-cooled 398cc single packs plenty of punch to make riding the bike a thrilling experience, while the medium-knobby tires provide good grip both on the asphalt and in the dirt.

With usable torque right from the low-rpm and with neat power deployment in the upper rpm range, the DR-Z400S can do slow traffic streaking, trail and mud wrestling, and highway hauls with ease, just like expected from one of the nicest DS machines out there.
