SUZUKI Boulevard C50 Special Edition (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, Suzuki released the Boulevard C50 Special Edition model that, aside from the upgrades received by the base model, introduced two new two-tone color options with elegant pinstripes and multi-spoke cast aluminum wheels.

Both front and rear fenders featured a new design with a lightweight, low-maintenance LED taillight mounted on the rear fender, and the fuel tank-mounted speedometer also featured a new design.

The Special Edition version of the C50 was a bold statement in the middleweight cruiser world, but on the tech side, the bike was stock, with the new dual-spark plugs being the only things that differed from the previous model year. The model offered a great deal of comfort due to its wide seat with the passenger part removable, wide pulled-back handlebar, forward-mounted floorboards, and controls topped by the proven performance of the V-Twin engine.

Speaking about the engine, the 2009 Suzuki Boulevard C50 Special Edition took its thrust from an 805cc four-stroke V-Twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 45 hp 4,000 rpm and 62 Nm (46 lb-ft) of torque with a peak at 4,000 rpm.

For suspension, the bike packed a telescopic fork on the front and a link-type with a seven-way adjustable shock on the rear, while the braking power was handled by a 300 mm disc with a two-piston caliper on the front wheel and a 180 mm drum unit on the rear wheel.
