SUZUKI Boulevard C50 (2008-2009) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2009, Suzuki launched the Boulevard C50, a middleweight cruiser that packed a massive aesthetic infusion from the big-bore beasts. The 2009 Boulevard C50 came with wire-spoked wheels, deeply valanced all-new fenders, chunky bobber tires, redesigned seat, a new lightweight and low-maintenance LED taillight, and a new speedometer design all wrapped on a new chassis.

The bike looked compact but offered a comfortable ride thanks to the forward-mounted floorboards and controls, wide seat, and wide pulled-back handlebar. The fuel tank-mounted speedometer featured an LCD fuel gauge, clock, and indicator lights with the cables tucked in neatly for a detailed look.

On the front end of the chassis, the bike packed a telescopic fork with polished aluminum sliders and polished stainless-steel tube covers, and on the rear end, it packed a swingarm bolted to a seven-way adjustable spring preload monoshock absorber that acted as suspension.

In the performance department, the 2009 Suzuki Boulevard C50 packed an 805cc four-stroke V-Twin liquid-cooled engine that featured a Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve (SDTV) fuel injection system with new dual spark plugs on each cylinder for better combustion and lower emissions. Linked to a five-speed transmission, the 2009 C50 delivered a power output of 50 hp at 6,500 rpm and 65 Nm (48 lb-ft) of torque available at 5,000 rpm.

Available as optional features, Suzuki offered a windshield, a light bar, saddlebags, engine guards, custom seats, and billed aluminum items.
