The Kawasaki VN900, also known as the Vulcan 900, was a mid-sized cruiser motorcycle that debuted in 2006, following the same recipe as Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki, using a smaller engine fitted into a slightly larger frame.

The bike was available in a Classic version that didn't feature any additional accessories, Custom and Light Tourer models fitted with other custom and touring-oriented accessories.

In 2014, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Kawasaki VN900 Classic Light Tourer, a touring-oriented version of the base model that packed the same engine and frame with additional accessories.

The Classic Light Tourer model came with a factory-installed large adjustable windscreen for better wind protection, a backrest that offered more comfort for the passenger, and side-mounted leather saddlebags for extra storage.

It packed the same standard features as the base model, including a round headlight, a wide, pulled-back handlebar, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with an integrated instrument panel, a chromed exhaust system, and wire-spoke wheels shod with fat tires.

The 2014 Kawasaki VN900 Classic Light Tourer had its heartbeat set by a 903cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine managed by a fuel injection system, delivering 50 hp at 5,700 rpm and 79 Nm (58 lb-ft) torque at 3,700 rpm.

The power produced by the engine was transferred to a five-speed constant mesh manual transmission with a wet multi-disc clutch and sent to the rear wheel through a low-maintenance final Kevlar belt drive.
