The new dual-purpose 2014 MY Kawasaki KLX250S was originally designed as a road version of the larger KLX300R. The 4-stroke 249cc single engine has been engineered for flawless torque delivery across the entire rev range. The six-speed transmission ensures both the brutal grunt needed to tackle steep uphill trails and relaxed riding along winding countryside roads. And in the city, the crisp acceleration will get one through slower traffic with ease.
Feeling at home on the road or the trail, the KLX250S, comes standard with a 43mm inverted cartridge fork and Uni-Trak rear suspension for a smooth ride on all types of terrain. The diamond frame allows lower engine placement, so the bike is more stable when enjoying a race on the dirt.
