KAWASAKI ER-6n (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Kawasaki ER-6n was a standard motorcycle introduced in 2006 alongside its faired sister. Until 2009, the Kawasaki ER-6n was sold in the European market, and from 2009, the manufacturer introduced it in the American market.

The ER-6n version was more popular in many European countries than the faired model. However, in other countries, such as Australia and India, the faired version was more popular than the naked model, becoming the most popular sport toured in Kawasaki's range.

In the aesthetic department, the Kawasaki ER-6n had standard features, such as a small front cowl with a vertically-staked single headlight unit, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, an offset lay-down shock absorber on the rear, an under-belly exhaust system, and six-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

The motorcycle was built around a diamond high tensile steel frame with a 41 mm telescopic fork on the front, offering 120 mm of travel and an adjustable offset lay-down shock absorber on the rear, offering 130 mm of travel and excellent handling capabilities.

As for the braking performance, the bike packed two 300 mm discs with dual-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 220 mm disc coupled to a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel, delivering optimum stopping power.

In the performance department, the 2010 Kawasaki ER-6n had its soul brought to life by a 649cc four-stroke parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 72 hp at 8,500 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.
