The Kawasaki Ninja 650R was a standard motorcycle part of the Ninja series in Kawasaki's range. The bike debuted in 2005, sold from 2006, and continued production until 2017. It featured a modern style with modern features, a low riding position, and a low center of gravity.

In 2008, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Kawasaki ER-6f, a fully faired motorcycle with several modifications, such as revised bodywork with a dual headlight and a revised instrument cluster featuring an orange backlight screen with much riding data.

Besides the styling refreshments, the bike was backed by several engineering upgrades, such as the EURO3-compliant 300-cell catalytic converter silencer with a smaller profile and less weight.

In the aesthetic department, the bike packed standard features, such as a dual headlight system, a tall windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, an under-belly exhaust system, and the same six-spoke wheels used by the previous models.

In the performance department, the 2008 Kawasaki ER-6f had its soul brought to life by a 649cc four-stroke parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 72 hp at 8,500 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.

The braking performance was handled by two 300 mm semi-floating petal discs tied to dual-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 220 mm petal disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel, delivering excellent stopping power.
