KAWASAKI ER-6f (2005-2006) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Kawasaki Ninja 650R, also known as the ER-6f or EX-6, was a standard motorcycle part of the Ninja series in Kawasaki's range. The bike was manufactured in 2005, sold from 2006, and produced until 2017.

The middleweight machine was powered by a parallel-twin engine designed for everyday use on paved roads. The bike offered a modern style with modern features, a low seating position, and a low center of gravity.

In the aesthetic department, the bike was fitted with standard features, such as a full fairing with a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab handles, an under-belly exhaust system, and six-spoke lightweight wheels.

The bike was built on a diamond high-tensile steel frame with a 41 mm telescopic fork on the front, offering 120 mm wheel travel and an adjustable single shock absorber on the rear with 130 mm wheel travel, delivering excellent suspension performance and handling.

In the braking department, the bike's wheels were fitted with two 300 mm discs tied to dual-piston calipers on the front and a 220 mm disc with a one-piston caliper on the rear, offering excellent stopping power.

As for performance, the 2006 Kawasaki ER-6f had installed underneath its dress a 649cc four-stroke two-cylinder liquid-cooled engine managed by a fuel injection system, boasting 72 hp at 8,500 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.
