The Kawasaki Concours 14 was a sport-touring motorcycle that debuted in 2007 to replace the GTR1000 (Concours). The bike was also known as the 1400GTR or ZG1400 in other markets and was based on the ZX-14 platform.
In 2014, the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer launched the Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS, a sport-touring motorcycle fitted with an extra safety feature in the form of ABS to make any riding on the open road safer.
The 2014 motorcycle came with the same package as the previous model, offering the same technical, visual, and performance specifications, except for redesigned tire pressure sensors that made battery changing impractical.
The bike had standard features, such as a full fairing with an electrically adjustable windscreen, a tow-piece dual seat, a luggage rack with integrated passenger rails, side-mounted panniers, and 10-spoke lightweight wheels.
The bike was built on a monocoque aluminum frame with a 43 mm upside-down adjustable telescopic fork on the front and an adjustable tetra-lever shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent handling capabilities and a comfortable riding experience.
In the performance department, the 2014 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS had installed underneath its full armor a 1,352cc four-stroke four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine managed by an electronically controlled fuel injection system, delivering an output power of 156 hp with a peak force at 8,800 rpm and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) torque at 6,200 rpm.
